Ministry Testimonials

Pastor Jim Combs,
Waterford, Michigan

What
does one say about this ministry called Homeward Bound? I hope you
noticed I did not call them a group. I have been a pastor for some
twenty-five years and have had my share of groups. They come and go
leaving a few projects here and there, not Homeward Bound. They have
influenced my people more than any big name or great group. They have
been coming year after year to minister to my people. I trust them and
have been personally blessed by their ability and talent, but more by their
heart. They love the same Lord Jesus that I love. They come
asking for nothing, except an opportunity to introduce the Love of God to as
many that will listen. You see they come with real life stories, lives
that they have laid down for Him. Their pains of life explode a
passion from their souls. Men, women, and young people in a real world
of hurt are cared for by real men who really experienced hurt. Their
harmonies and melodies are beautiful but their commitment and call are like
flowers in the dessert of the music world."

Christian Church

One of the greatest gifts the Lord has ever given me is the friendship of the
men that make up Homeward Bound. They truly are the "gift that keeps on
giving". Each time we have "hosted" the group for special events and concerts
at Shelby Christian Church, our congregation has responded for weeks with
the highest praise for the humble way these talented guys have exemplified
Christ through their music and personal testimony. Randy and Darrell are
two of the most generous and sincere Godly men that I have ever encountered.
They have continued to establish and present a group that puts Christ and His
mission first in everything they do. Les and Brock have each taken the
performance and personal dynamics of the group to a higher level with their
contributions. These wonderful men are more than just talented singers. They
are great evangelists, willingly sacrificing their personal identities to become a
team of soldiers, willing to go and serve wherever the Lord leads. They have
been, and continue to be, a true blessing to our congregation and my personal life.
Godspeed!

My path crossed with The Paddock's and
Homeward Bound around 1991 when I was singing with the Cathedrals. I have
watched them face personal devastation with great confidence in God's
guiding hand. They have exemplified the walk of faith. I don’t believe I
know anyone as kind and selfless as these men. Every year when they host
Legacy Five at their homecoming in Danville, Illinois, they are as gracious
of a host as you could ever hope for. I know that their servant's hearts
are evident to all who come in contact with them. I love Darrell, Randy and
all of Homeward Bound.

What a wonderful blessing it has been for me and my family
to be a part of Kings Camp. Each year, for several years now, the Homeward Bound
team has come and shared their ministry of music and testimony with the campers
on Labor Day weekend.
Praise God for these good men who have committed
themselves to this ministry. Their music ministry is truly anointed of God.
Their talents are outstanding, their harmonies support the words of their songs
and bring honor and glory to the Lord. Their concerts are far more than
entertainment, they care about the people they sing and talk to. No one ever
leaves their concerts without knowing clearly that those who know Jesus are
Homeward Bound and will join the Heavenly family soon and be home at last with
Jesus.
I encourage you to pray for and support this ministry in
every way that you can.

Homeward Bound has been coming to Landmark since 1985.
We’ve always enjoyed their good, fresh sound and great harmony. They have always
exemplified great testimonies on and off stage. I know that your people won’t be
disappointed. They will be challenged and encouraged if you decide to have
Homeward Bound at your church or gathering.
